Zanst Organization for Discussion and Research

Zanst for Discussion and Research Organization is a non-governmental organization that focuses on discussion and research in intellectual, cultural, political and social fields.

On 30/4/2013, it received the official license of NGOs in the Kurdistan Region. Its headquarters is in Sulaymaniyah and it has a branch in Erbil.

Zanst Organization works to:

• Research on Kurdistan history, Kurdish race, Kurdish society, geography and demography, scientific and literary works of Kurdish scholars and historical monuments of Kurdistan.

• Efforts to prepare a comprehensive list of manuscripts of Kurdish scholars and translate articles and research from Kurdish to other languages and vice versa.

• Scientific research on contemporary intellectual and cultural concepts.

• Organizing conferences and debates in intellectual, literary and cultural fields.

• Opening awareness and cultural courses in various fields of thought and knowledge.

• Preparing an encyclopedia on Kurds and Kurdistan, which has been published in six volumes.

• Preparing, translating and publishing documents related to the Kurdish nation and Kurdistan's geography.

• Research on the role of women and youth, their influence and contemporary issues.

• Assist researchers and guide and encourage them in writing their scientific papers.

• Publishing books and works of authors in the cultural, historical and intellectual fields.

• Paying attention to obtaining and publishing documents related to Kurds and Kurdistan.
